  • Win condition: Must win by a margin of 2 points.

  • Point values:

    • Regular 2-point shot = 1 point.

    • 3-point shot = 2 points.

  • Foul rules:

    • If fouled and basket is made: +1 free throw (1 point).

    • If fouled on a shot: 2 free throws (from the 3-point line, from the top of the key).

      • Rebound rule: If the first free throw misses, offensive/defensive rebound is allowed.

      • Second shot: Attempted only if the first was made.

      • Defensive rebound: Must take the ball beyond the 3-point line (if the rim was touched).

Game Flow

  • Check-ball rule: After scoring, the attacking team has 10 seconds to restart play.

    • Defender must pass the ball back to the attacking player to resume play.

  • Dribble limit: 5 dribbles per possession (total for the team).

    • 6th dribble = turnover.

    • Offensive rebounds: Dribble count resets to 5.

Fouls and Discipline

  • Player fouls: Maximum of 5 per player.

    • On the 5th foul: Opponent automatically gets free throw(s) (1 or 2, depending on the first shot).

  • Technical fouls:

    • 2 technical fouls = suspension for that game.

  • Unsportsmanlike fouls:

    • 2 unsportsmanlike fouls = suspension for the entire tournament.

Rebounds and Positioning

  • Free throws: Rebounders must stay behind the 3-point line until the ball is released.

    • Early entry = warning; shooter repeats the shot if interrupted.

  • Defensive rebounding tips: Take 1 strong dribble, then pass the ball beyond the 3-point line.

Out of Bounds and Throw-ins

  • Standard rules apply.

  • 5-second countdown to inbound.

  • Teams may double-team during inbound to force turnovers.
