  • If 5th foul the other team gets 1 free throw from 3 point line top of the key. In the 1+ 1 free throw system. If made gets another shot for free1 point. If missed rebound.
    • If fouled and basket is made: +1 free throw (1 point) And One!
    • If fouled on a shot: 2 free throws (from the 3-point line, from the top of the key) in a 1+1 formation making the first gets you the socks. Making the second gives your the ball to check in. At top of the key.
      • Rebound rule: If the first free throw misses, offensive/defensive upon relise of the ball.
      • Segundo disparo: Intentado sólo si se realizó el primero.
      • Defensive rebound: Must take the ball beyond the 3-point line (if the rim was touched by the ball.

Flujo del juego

  • Check-ball rule: After scoring, the attacking team has around max 10 seconds to restart play.
  • Refs making sure there is no breaks that take to long. We want a dinamic game.
    • Defender must pass the ball back to the attacking player to resume play. Hens check ball.

  • On tecs free throws 1+1 format.
    • 2 technical fouls = suspension for that game. Same free throw and senario.
  • Faltas antideportivas:
    • 2 unsportsmanlike fouls = suspension for the entire tournament. Same free throw senario.

Plus–Minus System (Final Score Difference)

We use the plus–minus system based on the final score of the game.

It works very simply:

After the game, we take the point difference and assign it as the final plus/minus for each team.

Example:

If the game ends 11 : 5:

  • Team A wins by 6 points → their result is +6

  • Team B loses by 6 points → their result is –6

These plus/minus points are then added to the team’s total ranking and devided per games played. So if there’s ties we can see what team has the better plus minus.

If still a tie teams tied play a game to decide who moves forward.

Rebotes y posicionamiento

  • Tiros libres: Los reboteadores deben permanecer detrás de la línea de 3 puntos hasta que se suelte el balón.
  • From free throw line extended and above. Toward the top of the key.
    • Entrada temprana = advertencia; el tirador repite el tiro si es interrumpido.
  • Consejos para el rebote defensivo: Realiza 1 regate fuerte y luego pasa el balón más allá de la línea de 3 puntos.
  • So you can have as many dribbles to attack again. Just like you where going out to a fast break in 5×5 basketball.

Fuera de banda y saques de banda

  • Se aplican las normas habituales.
  • Cuenta atrás de 5 segundos para la entrada.
  • Teams may double-team  the player on the court. during inbound to force turnovers. 2 on 1 situations work great for both defenders and offensive players.

Knockout Stage (Playoff)

After the lunch break, the tournament moves into the knockout stage.

In this phase, the top-ranked team plays against the lowest-ranked team, and the winners advance to the next round.

Example:

  • 1st place vs 32 place

  • 2nd place vs 31st  place

  • 3rd place vs 30th place

  • 4th place vs 29th  place
    and son on

Winners move on until the final game decides the champion.

On a shot attempt if the ball does not touch the rim. The team does not have to take the ball out the 3 point line. It acts just like a steam situation which is grea Mr for reaction purposes.

Coaches

We encourage coaches to work with us and support their teams.

Coaches participate for free — we do not charge any fees for coaches.

One coach may work with multiple teams.

All rules are designed to help players develop quickly in a competitive and fun environment. Where communication is key.

Best of luck may you get the most out of each day at my tournament. I wish you all fair play and best of luck.

Sincerely M.Lampe
